When did you know you wanted to be a stylist?

I’ve always loved fashion since I was a young child, after going to events I was often asked, “Where did you get your outfit?” I would give details of the outfit along with alternate suggestions on how to make the outfit more fabulous, and at an affordable price. More and More as I was asked where I got my outfit it flourished to “Can you style me as well?” And there it was!! My life as a Personal Shopper and Stylist began.

How did you get your start in the fashion industry?

My birth in the fashion industry began after my experience as a volunteer assistant stylist during the Dayton Fashion Week extravaganza. The event was themed “The Rise of Fashion” which caused the phoenix in me to rise and here I am.

What do you think makes someone stylish?

To be stylish is to be creative, not afraid to be you and not afraid to be different.

If you could give one styling tip, what would it be?

My styling tip would be to look great but feel beautiful. Never take a day off!. Another tip to add would be Shop everyone leave no boutique or store out. Great items can be found anywhere.

What is one clothing item everyone should have in their closet?

A Blazer. A Blazer can be worn to church, work, a date, even a night on the town. A Blazer is very versatile, I just love them!!
